Crime Prevention
The Lacey Police Department strives to
provide education and training to citizens of Lacey in an effort to involve
them in crime reduction in their neighborhoods. The Crime Prevention Unit
focuses on presenting organized measures to the citizens through programs
such as: Neighborhood Watch, National Night Out, Multi-Housing Crime
Reduction Program, Burglary Prevention, Fraud Prevention, Bank Robbery
Prevention, Woman's Personal Safety classes, Shoplift Reduction programs,
and safety presentations for children. LPD Crime Prevention Officer assists
neighborhoods to organize neighborhood watch groups. And provides training
in the area of identity theft, personal safety, crime prevention through
environmental design (CPTED), and emergency preparedness to various citizen
groups.
