PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that the City of Lacey Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, May 20, 2014, beginning at 7:05 p.m. at Lacey City Hall, 420 College St. S.E., in the Council Chambers, for consideration of the following items:
- A proposed amendment to the City of Lacey Transportation Element (2030 Transportation Plan) related to the design and extension of Lakeview Drive between 26th Loop SE and 29th Avenue SE west of Chambers Lake. Assessor’s parcel no. 11829110100.
- A proposed rezone and comprehensive plan amendment for a .15-acre parcel that contains an existing single family residence from Low Density Residential (0-4) to Central Business District 4. The property is located at 1308 Lebanon Street SE. Assessor’s parcel no. 50600001201.
- Proposed amendments to the City of Lacey Stormwater Comprehensive Plan to add a financial plan (Chapter 6), update capital improvement projects, and minor edits for clarification and readability.
- The 2015-2021 Six Year Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP): The Six-Year Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP) is a required plan that sets forth a listing of road improvement projects deemed necessary to implement transportation and land use elements of the Comprehensive Land Use Plan. This plan lists a number of projects and the priority of each. It will be used as the policy document for short range transportation planning over the next six years.
The above summary is only an overview of the proposals. For a complete review of the proposals, interested individuals should contact the Community Development Department for a review draft of the proposed amendments.
The purpose of the public hearing is to give citizens an opportunity to testify to the Planning Commission regarding the above proposals. Any interested citizen may testify. Anyone who cannot attend the meeting may give testimony in a letter addressed to: Lacey Planning Commission, 420 College St. SE, Lacey, WA 98503. If your letter is received before the hearing, it will become part of the public record. Prior to the hearing, information regarding the proposal, including an environmental impact analysis, may be obtained from the Lacey Community Development Department at City Hall; or you may phone (360) 491-5642.
