CITY OF LACEY NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lacey City Council has scheduled a final public hearing to determine the public benefit of the following projects, which were funded in part by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD): Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) Project #08-F6401-011–Affordable Housing Preservation; and Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Project #11-67100-028–Lacey Senior Center Expansion.
A $356,000 HUD NSP grant was used to preserve affordable housing for low- and moderate-income residents in partnership with the Housing Authority of Thurston County (HATC) and the Community Action Council (CAC) of Lewis, Mason & Thurston Counties. A $1 million HUD CDBG grant was used to expand the Lacey Senior Center.
The public hearing will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2014, at 7:00 p.m. at the Lacey City Hall Council Chambers, 420 College Street, SE. The purpose of the hearing is to solicit testimony from low- and moderate-income residents and the general public to assess whether the goals of the projects have been successfully met.
