LACEY, WA, January 8, 2014: Construction recently wrapped up on a state-of-the-art facility that will use reclaimed water to recharge shallow aquifers feeding Lacey’s Woodland Creek. Facility testing will continue until the end of January. The $2.1 million project, located in the city’s Woodland Creek Community Park, will help stabilize and restore stream flows.

LACEY, WA, January 7, 2014: Residents are invited to join volunteers, the City of Lacey, and Stream Team for a tree planting party on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Monday, January 20 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Lacey’s Woodland Creek Community Park (6729 Pacific Avenue SE in Lacey).

LACEY, WA, January 6, 2014: The Lacey Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to announce the Lacey Spring Fun Fair Grand Parade, scheduled for Saturday, May 17, 2014, beginning at 6:00 p.m. The parade route will begin at Woodland Square Loop and College Street SE and proceed along Pacific Avenue SE, past Saint Martin’s University and conclude at Pope John Paul High School in Lacey. Individuals and groups who would like to participate in the parade are encouraged to apply.

LACEY, WA, January 3, 2014: An underground tank that is used to treat wastewater for the City of Lacey has developed a crack, resulting in leakage of wastewater treatment material into soil surrounding the tank. The tank is located in the Avonlea Park area.
