LACEY, WA, October 28, 2016: Business owners and managers are invited to attend a Business Resiliency Workshop on Tuesday, November 1, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Thurston Economic Development Council (EDC) Center for Business and Innovation, 4220 6th Avenue SE in Lacey. LACEY, WA, October 24, 2016: In honor of the City of Lacey's 50th Anniversary of incorporation, Lacey Rotary presented Historic Business Awards to nine Lacey enterprises Thursday, October 20. Each business, established in Lacey more than 50 years ago, still operates in the area today. The honorees include Capital Development Company, Harold’s Appliance, Martin Way Mobile Home and RV Park, Capital Club Apartments, Diamond Head Apartments, Lacey Shoe Repair, and Kluh’s Jewelers.

LACEY, WA, October 10, 2016: Today, City Manager Scott Spence announced the appointment of Jennifer Burbidge as the new City of Lacey Parks and Recreation Director. The appointment follows a comprehensive selection process to succeed Lori Flemm, a well-regarded leader in the parks profession who served the City for seven years.

LACEY, WA, October 5, 2016: Lacey Water Utility crews will clean the water distribution lines in the Central Business District (CBD) October 16-28, 2016, between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., nightly. Unidirectional flushing, the cleaning process, is a preventative maintenance practice that improves water quality by removing sediment and mineral build-up from the water lines.

LACEY, WA, October 4, 2016: The City of Lacey plans to officially dedicate its expanded Veterans Services Hub during a public ceremony at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 7. The facility, located on South Puget Sound Community College’s Lacey campus at 4232 6th Avenue SE, is a joint-undertaking between the city and a growing number of South Puget Sound Veterans services providers.
