FREE STORMWATER POND MAINTENANCE WORKSHOP SCHEDULED NOVEMBER 18
Designed for Landscapers, Property Managers, and Stormwater Contractors.
LACEY, WA, November 8, 2017: The Cities of Lacey, Olympia, and Tumwater, and Thurston County invite landscapers, property managers, and stormwater contractors to a free workshop on “How to Inspect & Maintain Stormwater Ponds & Other Facilities,” Saturday, November 18, 8:30 a.m. to noon at Tumwater City Hall, 555 Israel Road SW.
The workshop includes classroom instruction (code requirements, recommended practices, and common practices that could lead to code violations) and hands-on field examples on how to identify and correct common problems that occur in residential and commercial stormwater systems (such as wet or dry ponds and other stormwater features).
Participants who complete the workshop can be included on the list of stormwater-related contractors available for potential customers, such as homeowner associations. The City of Lacey will post the list on their website.
