HAZARDOUS TREE REMOVAL SCHEDULED ALONG 3RD AVENUE SE
LACEY, WA, December 1, 2016: The City of Lacey issued a tree removal permit for a big leaf maple located along 3rd Avenue SE at the Providence Regional Cancer Center. The property owner will contract and schedule the removal in the near future.
Prior to issuing the permit, the City of Lacey had two arborists evaluate the tree and provide a report. The reports state the tree is infected with two diseases, Ganaderma trunk rot and Verticillium wilt, both of which cause the tree to have a high risk to fail, causing possible property damage or injury. Based on the safety assessment, the tree will be removed and a new tree will be planted in its place. You can review the evaluations on the City’s website at ci.lacey.wa.us/news-events/press-releases.
