LACEY CITY COUNCIL SEEKS ADVISORY BOARD & COMMISSION MEMBERS
LACEY, WA, September 28, 2016: The Lacey City Council is currently recruiting for one vacancy on the Library Board, Thurston Community Television (TCTV) Board, and Parks Board, and two vacancies on the Historical Commission.
The Library Board works with staff to develop long-range plans for library services. The Library Board meets the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. Members serve five-year terms with a two-term limit. Applicants must be City of Lacey residents or live in the City’s urban growth area (UGA).
The TCTV Board sets policy for TCTV to assist residents and organizations to communicate information and exchange ideas using community access television. The TCTV Board meets the 2nd Thursday of the month at the TCTV studios, 440 Yauger Way SW, Olympia. Applicants must be City of Lacey residents or live in the City’s UGA.
The Lacey Historical Commission provides leadership in historic preservation and develops information concerning the historical significance of the local Lacey area. The Historical Commission meets the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 6 p.m. Members serve three-year terms with a two-term limit. Applicants must be City of Lacey residents or live in the City’s UGA.
The Parks Board plans for future development of parks and playground systems in the City. The Parks Board meets the 1st Wednesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. in Lacey City Hall. Members serve three-year terms with a two-term limit. Applicants must be City of Lacey residents.
