LACEY CITY COUNCIL TAKES TRANSPORTATION BENEFIT DISTRICT DISCUSSION “ON THE ROAD”
LACEY, WA, August 16, 2016: The City of Lacey will once again host a number of public “Council on the Road” worksessions at various locations around the city. This provides the community an opportunity to meet and engage with City Council members. The next event takes place Thursday, August 16, at the Panorama Auditorium, 1670 Circle Lane SE, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. The topic will be Lacey’s proposed Transportation Benefit District (TBD).
The potential TBD would increase the local sales tax by two-tenths, from 8.7 to 8.9 percent, to provide funds for the preservation of city streets. Thursday’s session attendees will have an opportunity to visit with Councilmembers and learn more about the TBD.
Families are encouraged to attend and light refreshments will be served. For more information, contact Lacey Public Affairs at (360) 491-3214 or firstname.lastname@example.org, or visit www.ci.lacey.wa.us/council-on-the-road.
