WATER AND WASTEWATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS SLATED FOR SHADY LANE NEIGHBORHOOD
LACEY, WA, June 28, 2016: Extensive water and wastewater system improvements are scheduled to be underway this week in the Shady Lane neighborhood northwest of Hicks Lake. Affected streets include sections of Shady Lane Road SE, Trillium Street SE, Lilac Street SE, Hicks Lake Drive SE, and Hemlock Court SE.
Crews will be on site beginning Wednesday, June 29, and normally operate between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Project completion is slated for November.
At times, road closures and detours may be required. Traffic interruptions are expected and alternate routes are advised.
The $1.7 million project is part of the city’s ongoing effort to update and maintain its water and wastewater systems. Lacey's combined municipal utility systems include more than 700 miles of water, wastewater, and stormwater system lines.
