LACEY CITY COUNCIL TAKES TRANSPORTATION BENEFIT DISTRICT DISCUSSION “ON THE ROAD”
LACEY, WA, May 17, 2016: The City of Lacey will once again be hosting a number of public “Council on the Road” worksessions at various locations around the city to provide an opportunity for the community to meet and engage with City Council members. The next event will be Thursday, May 19, at the Virgil Clarkson Lacey Senior Center, 6757 Pacific Avenue SE, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. The topic of discussion will be Lacey’s proposed Transportation Benefit District (TBD).
The potential TBD would increase the local sales tax by two-tenths, from 8.7 to 8.9 percent, to provide funds for the preservation of city streets. Attendees at Thursday’s session will be able to visit with Councilmembers and have an opportunity to learn more about the TBD.
Families are encouraged to attend, and light refreshments will be served. For more information, contact Lacey Public Affairs at (360) 491-3214 or firstname.lastname@example.org, or visit us online at www.ci.lacey.wa.us/council-on-the-road.
