LACEY’S PLANNING COMMISSION COMING TO A NEIGHBORHOOD NEAR YOU
LACEY, WA, January 11, 2016: The Lacey Planning Commission invites the community to help plan for future growth at two upcoming neighborhood meetings. The first meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 19 at Evergreen Forest Elementary, 3025 Marvin Road SE. The second will be on Tuesday, February 2 at Olympic View Elementary, 1330 Horne Street NE. Both meetings begin at 7:00 p.m.
The city is working on updating its 20-year Comprehensive Plan and would like community feedback and input. This plan will address expected future growth in Lacey and its urban growth area, which is expected to grow an additional 30,000 people in the next 20 years. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about future growth in Lacey and what this means for specific neighborhoods. There will be opportunities to ask questions and give feedback during the meetings. A draft of the updated Comprehensive Plan is available for review at www.ci.lacey.wa.us/envisionlacey.
