CITY OF LACEY SEEKS COMMUNITY INPUT ON PARKS VIA ONLINE PUBLIC OPINION SURVEY
LACEY, WA, February 23, 2010: Which parks and recreation facilities do you currently use? What improvements would you like to see at each park and facility you visit? What recreation programs or opportunities would you like close-to-home that aren’t available now?
The City of Lacey will soon be updating its Comprehensive Plan for Outdoor Recreation, and as part of the public participation process, the City is inviting residents to offer suggestions about future park and recreation needs in the community. Citizen input is vital in the early stages of the planning process to identify improvements needed at park sites, additional recreation programs, and future opportunities.
If you would like planners to consider your input, please log-on to the city’s website at www.ci.lacey.wa.us, click on the "Parks and Recreation" icon, and participate in the survey.
Paper copies of the survey are also available at Lacey City Hall, 420 College Street SE, during regular business hours, and at the Lacey Community Center, 6729 Pacific Avenue SE.
Information and updates about Lacey’s parks planning process will be posted on the city’s website at www.ci.lacey.wa.us, under the “Parks and Recreation Services.” For more information, please contact Lori Flemm, Lacey Parks and Recreation Director, at email@example.com or (360) 491-0857.
