LACEY DEPUTY MAYOR CYNTHIA PRATT RE-APPOINTED TO NLC’S SMALL CITIES COUNCIL STEERING COMMITTEE
LACEY, WA, February 12, 2014: Lacey Deputy Mayor Cynthia Pratt has been re-appointed to the National League of Cities (NLC) Small Cities Council Steering Committee for 2014. The appointment was announced by NLC President Chris Coleman, Mayor, Saint Paul, MN.
The Small Cities Council Steering Committee is comprised of representatives from member cities with populations of 50,000 or less and works to ensure that the interests of small communities are reflected in NLC's overall policies and programs. Councilmembers convene to network and share ideas and solutions to challenges affecting small cities.
The chair of this year’s Small Cities Council is Stuart Gillespie, Councilmember, Burleson, TX. Serving as this year’s vice chairs are Joe Shumway, Councilmember, Laramie, WY, and Silke Pope, Councilmember, Greenbelt, MD.
