LACEY DEPUTY MAYOR CYNTHIA PRATT RE-APPOINTED TO NATIONAL LEAGUE OF CITIES’ ENERGY, ENVIRONMENT AND NATURAL RESOURCES STEERING COMMITTEE
LACEY, WA, January 15, 2014: Newly-appointed Lacey Deputy Mayor Cynthia Pratt has been re-appointed to the National League of Cities (NLC) Energy, Environment and Natural Resources Steering Committee for 2014. This Committee has the lead responsibility for developing NLC federal policy positions on issues involving air quality, water quality, energy policy, national wetlands policy, noise control, and solid and hazardous waste management. The appointment was announced by NLC President Chris Coleman, Mayor, Saint Paul, Minnesota.
As a member of the committee, Deputy Mayor Pratt will play a key role in shaping NLC’s policy positions, while advocating on behalf of America’s cities and towns on Capitol Hill, with the Administration, and at home.
The chair of this year’s Energy, Environment and Natural Resources Committee is Bill Peloza, Councilmember, Auburn, WA. Serving as this year’s vice chairs are Cindy Lerner, Mayor, Pinecrest, FL, and Cindy Circo, Councilmember, Kansas City, MO.
