REVIEW FUTURE TRANSPORTATION PLAN WITH LACEY PLANNING COMMISSION
LACEY, WA, September 21, 2012: The Lacey Planning Commission will host a special Open House/Comment Session at their regular meeting on Tuesday, October 2, 2012, to review the city’s Draft 2030 Transportation Comprehensive Plan. The public is invited and encouraged to participate in a discussion of the draft plan with the Lacey Planning Commission and city staff. The open house will be held in the Council Chambers at Lacey City Hall, 420 College Street, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The Draft 2030 Transportation Plan identifies the City of Lacey’s long-range vision for the community’s transportation network. The plan incorporates regional goals and policies, identifies future transportation corridors and improvement projects, and emphasizes options such as biking, walking, and public transportation. Plans for both College Street and Interstate 5 corridors are included as appendices to the plan.
The Draft 2030 Transportation Plan and a comment form are available on the city’s website at www.ci.lacey.wa.us/transportation-plan, or call Lacey Public Works at (360) 491-5600 to request a copy. Before making a final recommendation on the plan to the Lacey City Council, the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing at a future meeting.
