STORM DEBRIS DISPOSAL RESOURCES
LACEY, WA, January 25, 2012: Lacey residents who have storm debris¬ on their property can drop it off — free of charge — at the Thurston County Waste and Recovery Center, 2418 Hogum Bay Road NE, Lacey. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The drop-off fee for storm-related tree limbs and branches will be waived through February 29, 2012, for residents only. Commercial haulers and landscape businesses will be charged regular disposal rates. Garbage disposal will be subject to normal fees. Pacific Disposal/Lemay Inc. has several fee-based services available to Lacey customers. Residents with compost/yard waste services should use their regular bins for storm debris disposal. For larger limb/branch removal, Pacific Disposal offers a special one-time pick-up to haul away cut and stacked debris for a fee. They also offer large drop box containers that can be left on site for neighborhood clean-up. For rates and availability of the larger drop boxes, please call (360) 280-7305.
According to Pacific Disposal/Lemay Inc., if your regular trash or recycling pick-up was missed due to the weather, you will not be charged for overfilled containers or for equivalent amounts of materials set out in bags on top of or next to your normal receptacles.
