VACANCIES FOR LACEY CITY COUNCIL ADVISORY BOARDS & COMMISSIONS
LACEY, WA, February 18, 2011: The Lacey City Council is currently recruiting for vacancies on the Historical Commission, Human Services Review Council (HSRC), and LEOFF I Disability Board.
The Historical Commission provides leadership in historic preservation and developing information concerning the historical significance of the local Lacey area. Meetings are held the 1st Monday of the month at 6:00 p.m. Historical Commission members serve three-year terms with a two-term limit. Applicants must be residents of the City of Lacey or live in the urban growth boundary of the City.
The Human Services Review Council (HSRC) identifies criteria, considers applications, and recommends funding for social service agencies that provide community outreach. Meetings are held the 3rd Friday of the month at 8:00 a.m. HSRC members serve a two-year term with a two-term limit. Applicants must be residents of the City of Lacey.
The LEOFF I Disability Board administers benefits and entitlements for Lacey Law Enforcement Officers and Fire Fighters. Meetings are held, as needed, at 12:15 p.m. on the 2nd Thursday of the month. LEOFF members serve two-year terms with no term limits. Applicants must be residents of the City of Lacey or live in the urban growth boundary of the City.
