LACEY HOSTS 2nd ANNUAL TURN BACK THE CLOCK RUNNING EVENT
LACEY, WA, October 19, 2010: Daylight savings requires you to turn your clock back on the first Sunday of November. The Lacey Parks and Recreation Department invites you to celebrate that “extra hour” by being part of a healthy, enjoyable, and well-organized running event on Sunday, November 7, 2010. Lacey’s 2nd annual Turn Back the Clock community event includes a 5K, 10K, and a one-mile family course.
Entrants in the 5K (run or walk) and 10K (run only) will start and finish at Rainier Vista Community Park (5475 45th Avenue SE). Both running events provide course certification, professional timing, and medals for first, second, and third place, grouped by age. Registration for the 5K and 10K is $15 if received by October 21, and $20 thereafter.
Families can join in the fun too. The “Turn Back the Clock” run features a special one-mile course at Rainer Vista Community Park tailored specifically for families of all ages. Participants will receive a commemorative ribbon for finishing. Registration for the one-mile Family course is only $5.
All “Turn Back the Clock” participants will enjoy refreshments and will be eligible for door prizes. Set your goal, ramp up your fitness level and get ready to go! “Rain or Shine, You’ve Got the Time”.
