LACEY COMMUNITY MARKET HOSTS FAMILY DAY
LACEY, WA, September 7, 2010: Bring the whole family to the Lacey Community Market for Family Day on Saturday, September 11, 2010, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Huntamer Park. This traditional open air market, hosted by the City of Lacey, offers a unique mix of vendors, interactive displays, community resource information, free concerts, and endless family entertainment.
Visitors to the market will enjoy two free concerts featuring Forever Young (seniors singing modern hits) from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., and Planet Percussion (performance and drum circle), on stage at 2:00 p.m.
Witness famous balloon twister Adam Lee create amazing balloon sculptures from 12:00 p.m.to 3:00 p.m. See dance exhibitions by local groups throughout the day. And give the little ones a chance to romp and stomp in the Tumble Bus. Join the drum circle beginning at 3:00 p.m. Face painting, crafts, and outdoor games for everyone!
The Lacey Community Market offers a bounty of traditional market items including fresh-cut flowers, breads, locally-made and harvested foods, honey, and an abundance of seasonal produce. You will also find crafts, hand-made jewelry, antiques, collectibles, forgotten treasures, refreshments and local cuisine (i.e., barbeque, burritos, crepes, and many other delicious treats). Nearly 90 vendors are expected to line the streets for a distinct shopping experience.
