The cities of Lacey and Olympia remind residents and visitors that the sale and discharge of consumer (personal) fireworks are not allowed in either community. Novelty devices such as snakes, glowworms, and party poppers are permitted; however sparklers and all other types of fireworks are not. Fireworks purchased elsewhere, such as at tribal stands or fireworks sales booths in other communities, may not be used in Lacey or Olympia.

LACEY, WA, June 24, 2015: Lacey continues its tradition of kicking off the area’s Independence Day celebrations with the Freedom Concert and Fireworks Spectacular on Friday, July 3rd. The Freedom Concert will be held from 6:30 to 10:15 p.m. in the Lacey Crossroads parking lot at Yelm Highway and College Street, followed by a 15 minute professional fireworks display launched from William Bush Park, 4400 Chardonnay Drive NE. The park will be closed to preserve a safe zone for the fireworks launch, but the display will be visible to most residences located within 3/4 miles and from the concert stage area at Lacey Crossroads.

Clarkson Senior Center (formerly named the Lacey Senior Center) at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2015. The public is welcome to attend. The ceremony will last approximately 30 minutes, with refreshments following. The Senior Center is located at 6757 Pacific Avenue SE within Woodland Creek Community Park in Lacey.
