LACEY, WA, June, 28, 2011: Residents and visitors celebrating the
Independence Day holiday in the City of Lacey are encourage to do so in a
safe and enjoyable manner that is within the law. In 2005, Lacey
voters approved Proposition No. 1, which prohibited the sale and
discharge of fireworks within the city limits.

LACEY, WA, June 23, 2011: On Friday, June 24, a retirement reception
will be held for Lacey City Manager Greg Cuoio in recognition of his 24
years of public service to the Lacey community. The reception is
scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Lacey Community Center,
6729 Pacific Avenue.

LACEY, WA, June 17, 2011: Lacey Parks and Recreation Department
announced the 2011 summer schedule for the Children’s Entertainment
Series, Lacey in Tune, and Outdoor Cinema Series . All events offer
free admission to the public and are held at Lacey’s Huntamer Park,
located on the corner of 7th Avenue SE and Woodland Square Loop SE.

LACEY, WA, June 10, 2011: The City of Lacey has been awarded $1 million
in federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding for major
expansion of its senior center facility. The building, which opened at
its current location in Woodland Creek Community Park in 2003, has
experienced dramatic increases in demand — from 257 senior users less
than a decade ago to nearly 1,700 patrons today.
