LACEY, WA, April 22, 2015: Lacey’s S.T.E.M. Fair and annual Electric Car Rally will be held Saturday, May 2, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Huntamer Park in Lacey. The free, award-winning event will showcase school clubs, teams, and businesses from all over Thurston County.

LACEY, WA, April 16, 2015: The Lacey Historical Commission is now accepting nominations for the Lacey Historian of the Year. To be considered for the award, nominees will have “made a significant contribution to the preservation or promotion of Lacey’s history.”

LACEY, WA, April 13, 2015: Beginning this week, the City of Lacey will be hosting a number of “Council on the Road” worksessions throughout the city to provide an opportunity for the community to meet and engage with City Councilmembers. The first date that Council hits the road will be Thursday, April 16 at Chambers Prairie Elementary School, 6501 Virginia Street SE. All events will have a meet and greet session from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., with the worksession to follow from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.

LACEY, WA, April 10, 2015: The City of Lacey recently received a Standard & Poor’s (S&P) Rating Services upgrade from ‘AA’ to ‘AA+’ for its long-term rating and the rating on its previously-issued general obligation bonds. The rating has a stable outlook. S&P also assigned the higher rating, ‘AA+,’ to the City’s LTGO and UTGO Refunding Bonds, 2015, which were priced by the City’s bond underwriter recently and are scheduled to close in May. Through the Refunding Bonds, the City locked in a savings of over $600,000 by lowering the interest cost on $8 million of its debt.
