LACEY, WA, January 28, 2016: The Chambers Lake Stormwater Treatment Facility has received the Silver Award for Social, Economic, and Sustainable Design. The award was presented by the American Council of Engineering Companies at the 48th Annual Engineering Excellence Awards on January 22nd at the Bellevue Westin.

LACEY, WA, January 13, 2016: The public is invited to join the City of Lacey, North Thurston Public Schools, and community members and organizations to the Compassion is Contagious Community Forum on Saturday, January 23, 2016. Recently, the City of Lacey and North Thurston Public Schools signed on to the International Charter for Compassion and are working together to expand compassionate acts and programs in our community to assist citizens of all ages.

LACEY, WA, January 11, 2016: The Lacey Planning Commission invites the community to help plan for future growth at two upcoming neighborhood meetings. The first meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 19 at Evergreen Forest Elementary, 3025 Marvin Road SE. The second will be on Tuesday, February 2 at Olympic View Elementary, 1330 Horne Street NE. Both meetings begin at 7:00 p.m.

LACEY, WA, January 8, 2016: In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his legacy of community service, residents are invited to join volunteers, the City of Lacey, Stream Team, and AmeriCorps for a tree planting event on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Monday, January 18 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Lacey’s Woodland Creek Community Park (6729 Pacific Avenue SE in Lacey).

LACEY, WA, January 7, 2016: Local Boy Scouts will provide curbside pick up of holiday trees this Saturday, January 9 for residents of Lacey. Trees must have all decorations removed and be placed curbside in front of homes by 8:00 a.m. Apartment residents should check with managers for locations to place their trees.
