RECYCLE YOUR TREE AFTER THE HOLIDAYS


Consider recycling your tree after the holidays! If you live within Lacey city limits, Boy Scout troops 222 and 101 will pick up trees Saturday, January 5, 2019, beginning at 8 a.m. Tree will be recycled thanks to support of LeMay/Pacific Disposal, Asplundh Tree Service, and Thurston County Solid Waste. Please remove ALL decorations. Trees with ornaments, lights, tinsel, stands, and nails will not be accepted as they cannot be composted.

 

You can make a donation to the Boy Scouts for this service however, please do not place donations on tree (for security reasons). Donations accepted:

If you live outside Lacey city limits, you can take your tree to the Thurston County Waste and Recovery Center at 2420 Hogum Bay Road NE in Lacey, December 26, 2018 - January 13, 2019 (except New Year’s day) for no charge. Subscribers to Pacific Disposal’s yard debris pick-up service should cut their tree into 3-foot sections and place it in or next to their yard waste container on their normal collection day.


Apartment and mobile home residents should check with their managers for locations to place trees.
