We offer a fun and safe day camp experience for youth, ages 6 to 12, during the summer and over school breaks. Weekly camps are theme-oriented and packed with creative and healthy outdoor activities, including field trips, swimming, sports, group games, arts and crafts, special guests and events. Come join the fun with our trained team of recreation professionals!
Spring Break Camp registration will open Wednesday, January 4th, 6:00am. Camp runs Monday through Friday, April 2 - 6, 2012. Spring Break Express
Summer Day Camp registration will open Wednesday, March 14 at 6:00am. You can bring your completed form and payment to Lacey City Hall or mail it in. Unfortunately we cannot accept registration over the phone. We must have the completed form with payment to secure your week(s) in camp.

Summer Lunch Program

This program is operated in partnership with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). During school summer break, nutritious hot lunches and afternoon snacks are provided at no cost to children 18 years of age and younger.
The Summer 2012 schedule provides lunches from noon to 12:30, and snacks at 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, June 25 to August 17, at Lydia Hawk, Mountain View and Pleasant Glade elementary schools (no program on July 4).

Summer Playground Pals

This program is offered in conjunction with the Summer Lunch Program. Children ages 2 to 12 can come for lunch and then stay for Playground Pals (children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult). On site staff provide structured play and craft activities, along with special guests and events.
The Summer 2012 schedule is from 12:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, June 25 to August 17, at Lydia Hawk, Mountain View and Pleasant Glade elementary schools (no program on July 4).

Counselor-In-Training Program (C.I.T.)

Candidates for this program will need to apply, interview and be selected to participate. Teens chosen for the program will complete 40 hours of classroom training to become certified as a Level I C.I.T. Topics covered include leadership, teamwork, conflict resolution, child development, group games, songs, arts and crafts, and sports. First Aid/CPR and Food Handlers class and certification are part of our training. Once trained and certified as a Level I C.I.T., teens complete two weeks of summer on-the-job training at the Summer Day Camps, you choose the dates/weeks. Successful completion of this program results in Level II: C.I.T. Certification. This is an excellent way to obtain training, certification, and on-the-job work experience.
