The Finance Department is committed to excellence in the safekeeping of the city’s assets as well as providing administrative, financial and information technology services to the city’s departments. Finance also provides excellent customer relations and services to the city’s utility billing and business licensing customers as well as county-wide services such as passports, animal licensing, and bus passes.
The department also manages all accounting activities for the city and is responsible for payroll, accounts payable, purchasing, debt service administration, banking services, local improvement district assessments, violations, cash receipting, miscellaneous receivables, budgeting and financial reporting.
