BUILDING

The Building Codes Division reviews and inspects building and site-development projects to ensure that public life, safety, and accessibility standards are achieved. The Building Division also provides code advice on construction projects of all sizes and types, providing service and support to our citizens, homeowners, designers, architects, engineers, and/or developers.

Our philosophy is to provide assistance as early as possible in the design process to facilitate the application review process, to make your project viable, efficient, and cost-effective, while meeting all of the mandated code requirements.

You can view permits issued in the last four weeks (updated Fridays), below.

When a Permit is Required
A permit is required for any project to construct, enlarge, repair, alter, move, demolish, or change the occupancy of any building within the City. This includes any building, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, or gas system.  There are exceptions to this based on the specific exemptions listed in each code. more »
