The Lacey City Council is currently recruiting for the following vacancies:
One vacancy on the Planning Commission. The Planning Commission develops recommendations for long-range comprehensive planning goals and policies in the City of Lacey and areas outside of the city which may seek annexation. Meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month at 7:00 p.m. at Lacey City Hall, 420 College Street SE. Applicants must be residents of the City of Lacey.
One vacancy on the TCTV Board. The board sets policy for TCTV to assist residents and organizations to communicate information and exchange ideas through the medium of community access television. Meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of the month at the TCTV studios, 440 Yauger Way SW in Olympia. Applicants must be residents of the City of Lacey or live in the urban growth area (UGA) of the City.
One vacancy on the Historical Commission. The Historical Commission provides leadership in raising awareness of Lacey's history and preservation of local historic resources. The commission guides creation of public education and interpretive programs, encourages conservation of items and properties that are of historic significance, and reviews nominations to the Lacey Register of Historic Places. Meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. Applicants must be residents of the City of Lacey or live in the urban growth area (UGA) of the City.
One vacancy on the Library Board. The Library Board assists in developing long-range plans for library services in the City of Lacey. Meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 5:30 p.m., in the Lacey Library. Library Board members serve a five-year term with a two-term limit.
